Liwonde National Park

Liwonde National Park is home to some of the most incredible wildlife translocation, reintroduction and transformations in Africa. Spanning an area of more than 500 square kilometres, Liwonde is Malawi's premier wildlife destination responsible for many ambitious wildlife rehabilitation projects blessed by an abundance of water sources, varied vegetation and dense woodlands that provides conducive shelters.

Home to an incredible abundance of reintroduced wildlife, Liwonde National Park now teems with some of the largest herds of elephants, hippos, crocodiles and big predators like the lions, leopards, hyenas and cheetahs lurking in the trails of many antelope species like the kudu, sable antelope, bushbuck and more while the black rhino population has grown.
